Kinderkoninginnedag op de Nederlandse school in Finland
 Van de koninginnedag beleving als kind, in Nederland eind jaren 60, begin 70, kan ik me maar weinig herinneren. Het geheel stond me wat tegen en dat was jaloezie denk ik nu. Op televisie zag ik gedurende enkele jaren beelden van een steeds grotere familie die op het bordes terug zwaaiden naar langstrekkende landgenoten al dan niet met vlaggetjes. Bij mij in de buurt was er echter weinig feestelijks te bespeuren. En op dat bordes stonden toch minstens 3 leeftijdgenoten onbeperkt feest te vieren.

Adriaan van der Hoeven, Fins docent aan de universitet van Groningen, houdt deze erg goede linkpagina bij, speciaal bedoeld voor het leren van de Finse taal.

The Mayor’s residents' evening for residents with an immigrant background
21 September 2010 from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm in the banquet room of the City Hall, Pohjoisesplanadi 11–13
Mayor Jussi Pajunen will host a residents' evening especially for residents of Helsinki with an immigrant background on 21 September. The purpose of the evening is to serve immigrants and answer questions they have on their minds. It will be possible to ask questions about, for example, education, housing, physical exercise and sports, culture, day care, health services, employment and traffic.
All residents of Helsinki with an immigrant background and the leaders of their organisations are welcome to the open event. If necessary, Somali, Russian and English interpretations will be provided.
The event will be broadcasted directly on the internet at Helsinki-kanava and on the cable TV channel Dina.
Questions can also be sent in advance through Helsinki-kanava or to the email address
